During Nanjing R&D Summit, to facilitate the development of Belt and Road Alliance for Collaborative Innovation & Technology Transfer, follow the action plan to integrate S&T services into the industrial park, we invited 50 international representatives from 40 different organizations to attend the conference, including prestigious universities and R&D institutions in Russia, enterprises in North Brabant of Netherlands, Korea companies. The Alliance organizeda series of matchmaking events including Russia session, Netherlands session and Korea session. The event is a highlight of the construction of the innovation and cooperation system.
On July 25th, the “2018 Entrepreneurship Week of International Elites in Huishan” was successfully hosted in Huishan District by Wuxi Huishan District Committee and District Government, Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer and Wuxi Huishan District Human Resources Office. The event invited 13 overseas institutions and 25 high-level foreign innovation and entrepreneurial talentsfrom 12 different countries including the United States, Britain, France, and Germany.Mr. Wu Le, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Productivity Center, and Mr. DengJiahong, member of the Standing Committee of the Wuxi Huishan District Committee and Organization Department, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.
The event includes seminars of representatives from overseas institutions, project roadshows, project signing ceremony, and onsite visits. Based on the previous matchmaking, project roadshows and field trips, foreign institutions and related talents have established close cooperation relationship with Huishan District.Representatives of Chinese Entrepreneur Association of New England, Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association,French-Chinese Enterprise Exchange and Development Association, theChina-France Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the Nanyang High-Tech Innovation Center signed a cooperation agreement with the Huishan District Human Resource Office, and seven overseas elitessigned a cooperation agreement with the relevant platforms and enterprises in Huishan District.
On Nov. 8, the opening ceremony of the 1st China – CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation was held in Nanjing. Mr. Wan Gang, the vice president of Chinese CPPCC and minister of MOST, and Mr. Li Qiang, Secretary of Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. More than 300 representatives from the government and science and technology innovation authorities,as well as the scientific, business and academic industry,of China and Central and Eastern European countries attended the event.
Under the open, inclusive and balanced regional economic cooperation framework, centering on “China-CEEC Medium-Term Cooperation Plan”, all parties discussed the strategies and initiatives to implement comprehensive cooperation in science, technology and innovation, negotiate concrete business cooperation and major projects. In the opening ceremony, China and 16 CEEC countries jointly released the “Nanjing Declaration on China-CEEC Innovative Cooperation” and unveiled the "China-CEEC Virtual Technology Transfer Center."
Mr. Wan Gang pointed out that, China-CEEC innovation cooperation reaches a new historical starting point. He hoped that representatives could have in-depth discussions on various topics and work together to contribute to the development of people-oriented science and technology innovation.
During the Conference, a variety of events were arranged including Opening Ceremony, Innovation Cooperation Forum, Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Technology Briefings, B2B Meetings, and On-site Visits to science parks and enterprises in different cities.
On November 27th, 2017, the Second China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation was jointly held in the Bratislava, capital city of Slovakia, by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter “MOST"). Over 180 delegates from China and 16 Central and Eastern European Countries (hereinafter “CEECs”) attended the conference. Vice Minister Li Meng of MOST participated in the conference and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
During the opening speech. Li Meng, Vice Minister of MOST, highlighted that CEECs are essential partners to "Belt and Road." As the mechanism of "16+1" Science and Technology Cooperation matures, we need to continue the “Brand” of “16+1” Innovation Cooperation successfully. We should build up a platform for communications between China and CEECs.
It is necessary for us to support research institutes, universities and enterprises from various countries to carry out joint research and development, and cooperation in the industrialization of research products. We should actively discuss the possibility of building the joint laboratories and joint researching centers. We also need to establish a long-term cooperative mechanism by supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the conference, together with Mrs. Martina Lubyova, the Minister of Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. Vice Minister Li Meng of MOST launched promulgation ceremony of the Website of China-CEECs Virtual Technology Transfer Centre. International Technology Communication Center (ITCC) of Jiangsu Province is the only mirror center of China-CEECs Virtual Technology Transfer Centre in China. Based on the advantages of innovative cooperation and technology transfer union of "The Belt and Road," we will strengthen the online connections of technology resources of China and 16 CEECs. We integrate various innovative resources of different countries and promote communication and in-depth cooperation.
We held the innovation forums, investment forums, and other events during the conference. During the various events, we managed to arrange almost 50 pairs of matchmaking discussions. Such a successful arrangement revealed the effectiveness of our cooperation.
As entrusted by MOST and instructed by Technology Department of Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu international technology communication center organized and coordinated the Chinese delegates of this conference. Our representatives are from government departments, enterprises, research institutes and universities of places like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hongkong, etc. Over 60 Chinese delegates gathered together in Slovak and discussed the innovation cooperation of China-CEECs.
