During the opening speech. Li Meng, Vice Minister of MOST, highlighted that CEECs are essential partners to "Belt and Road." As the mechanism of "16+1" Science and Technology Cooperation matures, we need to continue the “Brand” of “16+1” Innovation Cooperation successfully. We should build up a platform for communications between China and CEECs.
It is necessary for us to support research institutes, universities and enterprises from various countries to carry out joint research and development, and cooperation in the industrialization of research products. We should actively discuss the possibility of building the joint laboratories and joint researching centers. We also need to establish a long-term cooperative mechanism by supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the conference, together with Mrs. Martina Lubyova, the Minister of Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. Vice Minister Li Meng of MOST launched promulgation ceremony of the Website of China-CEECs Virtual Technology Transfer Centre. International Technology Communication Center (ITCC) of Jiangsu Province is the only mirror center of China-CEECs Virtual Technology Transfer Centre in China. Based on the advantages of innovative cooperation and technology transfer union of "The Belt and Road," we will strengthen the online connections of technology resources of China and 16 CEECs. We integrate various innovative resources of different countries and promote communication and in-depth cooperation.
We held the innovation forums, investment forums, and other events during the conference. During the various events, we managed to arrange almost 50 pairs of matchmaking discussions. Such a successful arrangement revealed the effectiveness of our cooperation.
